Hmmm...

Okay. So tonight was the Grey's season premiere. Yay! Of course, I spent those two hours trying to look for Ellen Pompeo's baby bump (never found it since they only filmed her from the shoulders up) but I have to say that I loved the two episodes. I feel bad that I didn't cry for George but whatever.

We've had a running toilet in our bedroom that's been driving us nuts for the past few months. I've been just too lazy to change out the innards of the thing (the suction thingy inside isn't sealing properly) and it came to bite us in the butt tonight.

Mike went up to get ready for bed when he tells me there's a minor flood in the bathroom. Apparently, the toilet got clogged and since it seems to continually run, it overflowed. Stupid me, I flushed it again and more water flowed out. I plungered it and turned off the water. I came downstairs to find that there was water dripping out of one of our can lights in the kitchen. It wasn't a lot of water (like just the amount that overflowed) and it only flowed for a minute or so but it was enough to freak us out. So, tomorrow I'll be changing the innards of that stupid toilet like I should have done months ago.

Grey's Season Finale

I have not been very happy with Grey's since it came back from the writer's strike. Mostly because my Meredith and Derek broke up...again. They had Derek dating Rose the nurse but working on a clinical trial with Meredith. I had a feeling they'd wait until the last episode for someone in the trial to make it through surgery, and that's what they did. And yay for Meredith who finally got over her crappy childhood (I thought it was funny to see Meredith in therapy). I just couldn't figure out how they were going to get Mer and Derek back together, but they did. This scene made the whole crappy season worthwhile. Enjoy!

I can't even describe last night's episode. This scene says it all.

Season Finale

I'm still angry about the GA finale last night. Very angry. Couldn't they let at least one person be happy? Seriously. I can usually get some perspective and hope after reading the writer's blog, but the line, "everyone's single," has me more than a little upset.

George - Can't this poor guy catch a break? First, his Dad dies. Then he rushes into an unhappy marriage with Callie. Then the whole Izzy thing. Now, he fails his intern test? Seriously? I guess someone had to fail but George? Really?

Callie - Okay, so she got good news this epi. She's Chief Resident. I don't see anything that would make her worthy of the position, though. And when she finds out about George and Izzy (which I'm sure she's figured out already), it's really going to hit the fan.

Izzy - She's just pathetic

Bailey - How did she not get Chief Resident? Doesn't make sense to me.

Alex - Why can't he just get over himself already? Every time he has an opportunity to be happy, he screws it up somehow. Of course, just as things were going well for him and Izzy last season, Denny walked in so I guess it's not always his fault. I just don't get why he wouldn't tell Ava/Rebecca what she wanted to hear. Of course she wasn't there when he went back. So predictable.

Chief/Adele - They also seem to have a good ending. It looks as though they're going to work it out. It'll be interesting to see if he can better juggle work and family.

Cristina/Burke - So, just like that, Burke realizes that he's turning Cristina into someone else and doesn't want to marry her and moves out? Really? At least Cristina got the apartment. LOL! I'm really doubting that Isaiah Washington's going to be back next season, so I guess this was a good way to write him off the show.

Derek - Gets chief and then turns it down. This was one of the things that was keeping him from Mer and he gets it and says no? Yeah. Okay.

Meredith/Derek - Seriously? Derek goes all McDreamy and tells Mer that she's the love of his life and wants to have this huge talk right as they are heading to the church. Then he gets upset because Mer has to go? Ummm hmmm. In typical GA style, Mer's speech to the crowd about the wedding being over had a double meaning. Shonda confirmed it. So, I guess they're over. That sucks. What happened to all of the pining in season 1 and 2? Mer's had some really crappy things happen to her...she drowned, her mom died, her step-mom died, her father slaps her in front of everyone, on her way to the funeral Thatcher essentially calls her a murderer, she freezes on her intern exam and Derek tells her that he was flirting with an attractive girl (of course it's Lexie Grey) at Joe's and that was the highlight of his week. So, Derek, what was the highlight of Mer's week? Was it the step-mom kicking it and being blamed for it or was it her father slapping the crap out of her?

Lexie Grey - Seriously? They bring in Mer's half sister as an intern. The girl flirting in the bar with Derek is Mer's half sister. Come on. Oh, and of course she's an intern at Seattle Grace. Of course she is. I really don't think I can handle this triangle.

This show makes me so angry sometimes.

Updated Grey's Sneak

I knew that Derek saying "yeah, you should be worried" was edited in since he wasn't talking as he walked away. Apparently, this ran on some Canadian show last night. The quality is poor but that's okay. Looking forward to tomorrow night!

Grey's Sneak

Before I post, just want to let Dad know that Grey's is 1 hour 15 minutes this week.

Okay...so it's Season Finale time. I bet you are all happy about that. LOL! Anyway, here's a sneak peek at this week's episode. I just want to say, for the record, that Derek's an ass (actually, I think the phrase I've been using is Mother F*$%@*)

And a new promo...

Another Grey's Post

First, let me say I'm a little upset with the way they did this. I was hoping for an hour of Grey's and then an hour of the Addison Show but they intermingled it all and there was too much going on with GA to spend so much time on Addison. However, I did like the spin-off. Plus, with Taye Diggs, you just can't go wrong.

That said...they really glossed over the Burktina wedding, Mer/Der issues, Gizzie and the whole Susan thing.

The wedding planning...I would have loved to have seen more at the bridal store. Seriously. That could have been really funny. Glossed over.

Mer/Der. Shonda's screwing up my favorite couple. The promo next week has me really scared. That girl Derek's talking to at the bar had better be another sister...if he hooks up with someone else, I may be done with this show.

Gizzie...okay, so there was tension between Izzy and Callie. So George and Izzy kissed in the elevator. Again, glossed over.

Then there's Susan. Can Meredith catch a break? She almost dies. Her mother dies and then her stepmother (as Sue would say) goes to kick it with Jesus? Ummm...okay.

I'm beginning to wonder about the mental stability of her highness, Shonda Rhimes. Two episodes left in the season, girl. Time to really kick it into high gear here!

Okay...I'm Not A Happy Camper Right Now

WTF?!? I almost broke the TV tonight. After more than a year of waiting for Meredith and Derek to get back together, THEY BREAK UP????? Ummm...Shonda Rhimes is so NOT my favorite person right now. I'm so mad right now that I am seriously thinking of jumping ships. I may just have to get behind Meredith and Mark. Okay. Maybe I'm just really upset but someone really needs to kick the crap out of Derek!

And we all know that George is not transferring to Mercy West. Callie's going to divorce him and he's going to end up with Izzy. Seriously.

What are these people doing to me!!!!????!!!!

Oh...and I may just have to hate Thatcher even more after seeing the promo for next week (yeah, he slaps Meredith right across the face. Bastard)...

Random Post

The people who used to live here receive an insane amount of catalogs. Most of them are dumb and they go right into the trash. But, every now and then, a good one comes and I take the time to look through it. This was the case yesterday.

It was some sort of organic gardening catalog. It had a lot of cool things in it...even though most of it was stuff I would never have (not saying I wouldn't love to have it)...containers to grow tomatoes upside down, raised beds (would love to have these) and that sort of thing. But, they had a 4-5 page spread on composting. I had a friend or two in VA that had these and I always wanted one. I think the boys would love to watch stuff turn into soil. Does anyone out there compost? If so, how do you start?

Poor Hannah has a mild cold. At first, I thought that it might be her asthma acting up but after talking to her, she has a tickle in her throat and her nose is running. She was hacking away around midnight last night and I went in to check on her. I hadn't been there for too long when she began throwing up. Everywhere. After settling her down, I ran the bath. At midnight. I have to say that I think this is the first time I've ever had to give a child a bath like this in the middle of the night, but I just couldn't let her go back to sleep with it in her hair. I changed her bedding and put her back to bed. She must have just been exhausted because she didn't get out of bed this morning until after 10. She's in good spirits, so I'm hoping that this blows over soon.

I've enrolled the kids in various activities through the park district. The boys wanted to take a break from baseball and will be starting Tae Kwon Do at the beginning of April. Two days a week. The nice thing is that they are in the same class, so I don't have to ferry them to several different classes a week. That's nice. I hope that they learn something from it. Daniel's excited to learn "ninja." LOL! Mike thinks they will get bored and will hate it...I think they'll like it. We'll see.

Hannah starts gymnastics and ice skating (yes, I said ice skating) at the end of the month. Both are once a week. She's really excited about ice skating and told the boys that she'd teach them too. We'll see how she feels after the first few classes. Ordinarily, I only let them do one activity per season, but since the boys were doing theirs twice a week, I figured it would be okay for Hannah to do two.

Southern Illinois plays KU (Kansas) tonight in their Sweet 16 game. I really want SIU to kick KU's ass, mostly because I'm tired of hearing our NBC affiliate sports guy talk about how KU is going to be really up against a wall with UCLA (neither has won their game yet). And, this guy is an SIU alum!!! He keeps going on about how SIU is a mid-major and don't have a chance against Kansas (umm...hello...remember Bradley in the FIRST round last year?!? We knocked KU off easily!) I'm actually looking forward to watching the game since they are televising it locally. 6:10, baby. I really hope Southern kicks some Jayhawk ass!!!! GO SALUKIES!!!!!! (that's for you, honey!!!)

After going back and forth for the past week, ABC decided to run a new episode of Grey's tonight. My Favorite Mistake is on at 8pm Central. I'm curious to see what happens in the aftermath of George/Izzy.

Sometimes A Miracle

You knew it was coming so, in the words of Jacob, quit complaining! (posts in bold are favorites)

First, a recap of the episode...Meredith's still dead. Her body temp's rising but she's still technically dead.
*Addison's paged to her Jane Doe. She walks out and gives an update to Derek and then to the interns. Cristina can't deal with it, so she leaves. Addison continues on to her patient and Alex follows.
*Denny and Dylan are fighting about whether Meredith's freaking out or not. She tells them that if she's dead, they are not the people she'd like to see...up pops Doc the dog. (yay Doc!)
*Cristina is seen shopping mindlessly in the Dollar Store.
*Bailey hands George and Izzy off to Callie to put them to work instead of waiting around. Izzy gets mad.
*Derek sits in the family waiting room. Talks to a man with a wife who was hit by a car on the ferry.
*Meredith is confronted by several patients who were influential to her...Bonnie (the girl who was stuck on the pole in Into You Like a Train) and Nurse Fallon (her mother's scrub nurse who died of liver cancer in season 1.)
*Izzy and Callie get into a fight about George. I agreed with Callie until she basically told Izzy that she needs to hold onto all of the friends she has because they are dropping like flies.
*Derek visits Ellis. She wakes up and tells Derek she wants water. He gets it for her and begins stroking her hair. He then proceeds to freak out on her..."you broke her! You told her she was ordinary! Every good thing she's ever done has been in spite of you!" Addison breaks it up...reminding Derek that Ellis is a sick woman who has no clue what's going on (click below to see clip)

*Derek falls apart in the hallway...telling Addison that should have seen the signs and that it's his fault. Addison asks Derek if he thinks she did it on purpose. He said that Merideth can swim...that she's a good swimmer.

*Cristina's getting drunk at Joe's and is showing him her stuff that she got at the Dollar Store. (Favorite line..."it's tiny, it's got cat like creatures on it, but it's a chair! You can get furniture for 99 cents! That's America, baby!" Joe says, "That's Taiwan." I also loved, "I'm dealing so shutup and look at my crap!")
*Meredith and Denny have a heart to heart about how this will break everyone if she stays dead. Reveals an important fact about Cristina that we didn't know before - she watched her father die after a car accident when she was 9. Meredith admits to Denny that she didn't fight to stay above water...that she gave up because it was easier.
*Ellis codes. Derek and staff rush in to try to bring her back...she shows up in the afterlife with Mer.
*Burke finds Cristina in the bar and tells her that she'll regret it if she doesn't say goodbye to Mer. He's paged to do a bypass on Mer.
*George and Izzy fight about Callie (George is finally getting a backbone!)
*Everyone in the trauma room with Mer is basically giving up when Cristina walks in and tells everyone to try again. They agree to one more round of drugs
*Denny pushes Mer to confront her mother. Ellis hugs Mer and tells her that she is anything but ordinary. Mer runs back to "the light"
*Everyone in the trauma room waits to see if there's heart activity when there's a bloop on the screen. And then another...her heart's beating again.

*Addison comes in and asks if Mer's alive. Bailey says yes. Addison asks about brain damage. Bailey says she doesn't know yet. Addi then asks if Derek's been paged. Bailey says no...she's giving "her" (Cristina) some time. Cristina hasn't moved from the end of the bed. (personally, I think Addison was jealous and mad that Mer lived)
*Mer makes a noise which makes Cristina freak out a little. She's begging Mer to make a word...Mer simply says "ouch." Cristina then goes on to tell her that she and Burke are getting married because "you are the only person I wanted to tell." See the interns and Bailey watching Cristina talk to Mer, relieved that she is alive.
*Derek leaning in Mer's doorway. She wakes up and sees him. He goes to tell her that her mother is dead when she beats him to it. He looks shocked.
*Jealous Addison watching the interaction between Mer and Der when Mark walks up. Addison tells Mark that she and Derek never had that. Mark tells her that he felt that way about Addison. They decide that if Mark can give up women (MANWHORE! LOL!) for 60 days, she'll give their relationship another shot.
*Izzy walking out of the hospital when she suddenly stops. Camera turns to see Denny touching her shoulder. (she can't see him but she can feel him) She continues to walk, as does Denny

I skipped a few story lines but I'm not a huge fan of Alex, so I really don't care about the Jane Doe.

I will agree that the episode was a stretch, but if I wanted reality, I'd watch Discover Health (I love that channel, btw). So, yay! Meredith's alive! And Dad, her mother did not kick her out of Heaven!!! LOL!

Hmmm...

Okay, so I've heard through the grapevine that Kate Walsh (she plays Dr. Addison Montgomery...Derek's ex-wife) is getting a Grey's spin-off show. I don't exactly know how I feel about that. I think they're looking to thin the cast out a bit (it has gotten rather huge...Meredith, Cristina, Izzy, George, Alex, Derek, Burke, Bailey, Webber, Addison, Mark, Callie...and you can't forget recurring characters Olivia, Ellis, Addelle, Thatcher & family, Tyler, Sydney, Dr. Hahn). I wonder if she'd take Eric Dane (Dr. Mark Sloane) with her. Hmmm...

Anyway, only one more day until the big trilogy conclusion. Here's a sneak peek at tomorrow's episode! (It wouldn't let me embed)

Hey, Ev and Rachel!!! (and everyone else who hasn't seen it)

They're showing the Grey's episode It's The End Of The World tonight on ABC at 8/7c...the episode with Dylan (Kyle Chandler) and the bomb I was telling you about last night. That should help you understand who the other guy with Denny was. It's a two-parter and I don't know when they are showing the second part, but Dylan is in this one, too.

Thanks for calling last night and talking me down! LOL!

Shonda's got a new blog up about last night's episode...Click here to see it.

An Epiphany!!!

I just realized this was a cleansing episode!!! Bear with me here. So last week, Izzy said that she doesn't know what she believes in anymore. Here is the big scene in tonight's episode outside Mer's trauma room (yes, I copied it down). Oh, and the title of the next episode is Some Kind of Miracle.

Alex, George and Izzy are outside the double doors watching Derek. Cristina comes running up...

Cristina: Is it Meredith?
Alex: Yeah.
Cristina: Are you sure? Did you see her? Because it could be anyone
Alex grabs Cristina's arm
Alex: It's Meredith.
Cristina sees George crying
Cristina: oh.
She sees Derek sitting on the floor outside the door to the trauma room crying...Mark is sitting next to him.
Cristina: oh...oh
Izzy: She will come through this
George: You don't know that.
Izzy: She will come through this.
George: People die everyday.
Izzy: I know people die. People die in front of us every day. But I believe Mer will survive this. I believe...I believe...I believe in the good. I believe it's been a hell of a year and, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, we will all be okay. I believe a lot of things.
I believe Denny is always with me.
I believe that if I eat a tub of butter and no one sees me that calories don't count.
And I believe that surgeons who prefer staples over stitches are just lazy.
Looks at George
And I believe that you are a man that made a terrible mistake marrying Callie. And I believe that because I'm your best friend, I can tell you this and we can be okay. I believe that even though you made this mistake, you will be okay.
*Sigh*
I believe we survive, George. I believe that believing we survive is what makes us survive.
Hugs Cristina
She's going to be okay.

Get the tissues ready, 'cause here's the last 7 minutes (I hope they don't screw up the Dylan and Denny thing...I about wet myself when Mer asked if she was dead and Denny said "you're damn right you are")...

Here is the promo for next week. Personally, I think it's a little ridiculous, but, whatever.

In Loving Memory of Meredith Grey

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!

Meredith could NOT have actually died!!!! She cannot be dead!!! They have yet to declare her, so I'm holding out hope.

I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. :( I'll post more thoughts when I'm more rational.

Snow Patrol

This song rocks! I love Snow Patrol!

Make This Go On Forever by Snow Patrol

Please don't let this turn into something it's not
I can only give you everything I've got
I can't be as sorry as you think I should
But I still love you more than anyone else could
All that I keep thinking throughout this whole flight
Is it could take my whole damn life to make this right
The splintered mast I'm holdin' on won't save me long
Because I know fine well that what I did was wrong

The last girl and the last reason
To make this last for as long as I could
The first kiss and the first time
That I felt connected to anything
The weight of water the way you taught me
To look past everthing I have ever learned
The final word in the final sentence
You ever uttered to me was love

We have got through so much worse than this before
What's so different this time that you can't ignore
You say it is much more than just my last mistake
And we should spend some time apart
For both our sakes

The last girl and the last reason
To make this last for as long as I could
The first kiss and the first time that
I felt connected to anything
The weight of water the way you taught me
To look past everything I have ever learned
The final word in the final sentence
You ever uttered to me was love

The last girl and the last reason
To make this last for as long as I could
The first kiss and the first time that
I felt connected to anything
The weight of water the way you taught me
To look past everything I have ever learned
The final word in the final sentence
You ever uttered to me was love

And I don't know where to look
My words just break and melt
Please just save me from this darkness
Please just save me from this darkness

And I don't know where to look
My words just break and melt
Please just save me from this darkness
Please just save me from this darkness

The First Step Is Admitting You Have A Problem

And I need massive help here. All it took was Meredith to be pushed off the pier for my GA addiction to come right back out. Seriously. You thought I was bad before...it's worse than it's ever been before! This is freaking killing me. I feel like a goob cause I can't stop thinking about what's going to happen!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Make it stop!!!! Or better yet, we need to fast forward to Thursday and put me out of my misery...oh, that's right...IT'S A THREE PARTER!!! So, I'll have ANOTHER week of freaking out! Ugh!
