What Did I Do?

All of my joining is finally starting to come around to bite me in the butt. Our school district has this voice message system where each family has a voice mail account. It's a great way to get little notices out to teachers (and for them to do the same) or to other parents...you just leave a message to someone's voice mail and they can get back to you. It saves so much on notes going back and forth, potentially getting lost or ignored. I probably check ours on a daily basis since you're only allowed 15 messages total and some days we get 5 or more. Today was no exception.

I dialed in this morning to find 5 new messages in the mailbox. One from the school's new voice mail rep and two from Jacob's teacher giving the weekly agenda (she can never keep her messages under the allotted 3 minutes so she usually gets cut off and has to send a second voice mail). Then, I get this one:

"Hi! This is Betsey and if you're getting this message, you've signed up to volunteer for the third grade Southwestern Day! We're having our first planning meeting..."

Ugh. I press 9 to save it and move on to the last one.

"Hi! This is JJ and if you're getting this message, you've signed up to volunteer for the Family Night Supper and Bookfair next week! 8 me back and let me know which shift you'd like to work..."

Crap. At least Mike gets to take my place at the first grade Native American Day on Friday since I'm going to be on a plane, heading to Sue's! LOL!

The First Step Is Admitting You Have A Problem

And I need massive help here. All it took was Meredith to be pushed off the pier for my GA addiction to come right back out. Seriously. You thought I was bad before...it's worse than it's ever been before! This is freaking killing me. I feel like a goob cause I can't stop thinking about what's going to happen!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Make it stop!!!! Or better yet, we need to fast forward to Thursday and put me out of my misery...oh, that's right...IT'S A THREE PARTER!!! So, I'll have ANOTHER week of freaking out! Ugh!

Stupid Drivers!

What is wrong with drivers this morning? I took the kids to school and I was pulling into the carpool line when a lady pulls into a driveway in front of me and then, without even looking to see if anyone was coming (which I was), she starts to back out!!! I had to swerve to avoid hitting her and she had the nerve to look at me like I was the idiot!!!!! Grrr. The lady in front of us was putting her makeup on in her rear view mirror. I look behind me and one of my neighbors (she has three girls, spaced out about like mine but her oldest is Daniel's age) has none of her kids buckled up and they're all hanging over the front seats. STUPID!!!! (and she does it every morning!!!!!!)

So, I drop the boys off and turn to head to the main road. The line to turn is unusually long. The lady in front of me is still putting on makeup and doesn't see that one of the busses is trying to get out so that another one can pull in. She gets an earful from another bus driver who gets out and stands in front of this lady's car to stop her. Then, the bus tries to make a left turn out of the drive (because the line to the main road was so long) and almost takes out makeup lady and a mailbox. The line was so long because there was an accident at the light on the main road and people were blocking the way for people trying to make left turns onto the main road. Like that's going to make you go so much faster by not letting people go. So much stupidity on the roads today!!!!!
