I guess we're supposed to get some storms Thursday afternoon and evening. This is a little scary since it's still three days out. Of course, because it's three days out, it could be completely wrong. We've been pretty lucky and it's bound to catch up with us sometime. This is from the Storm Prediction Center regarding Thursday's storms...
Somewhat tightly clustered severe outbreak is possible--including supercells with large/damaging hail and possibly significant tornadoes. At this moment...consensus of various models indicates portions of eastern Kansas, northeastern Oklahoma, and western Missouri may have the maximum overall potential. Uncertainties precluding greater probabilities involve the track and intensity of surface low and related low level forcing & the northward extent of most favorable return flow moisture.
Thank God for safe rooms.
