Okay, not the weather for the past couple of days, but the weather we're going to be getting. Yesterday and today was nice. We actually hit 60 degrees today. That was awesome. Of course, you had to take the 20 mph winds and 45 mph gusts, but I'll take 60 and wind any day over 15 and no wind. At 10:15pm, we're still sitting at 55 degrees.
Tomorrow, we have a massive cold front (according to Gary Lezak, our weatherman, it's the strongest front of the season) coming through that will take our temps from 50's down to the teens with wind chills below zero. The National Weather Service says that our temps will drop as much as 10 degrees an hour. That's exactly what I want to wake up to in the morning. Oh, and our wind will not change. 30-50 mph winds with the cold temps. AND they're calling for snow midday tomorrow.
I HATE WINTER!!!!

Global warming just SUCKS!
I'm just glad we're not in Dubuque anymore...they've had their typical freezing and snowy winter. I really really hated winter there.
We're going to be getting the same weather starting at noon today. We've already hit the high for today (44 degrees) and it's going down from there. By rush hour today we'll be cold and snowy/rainy (they haven't decided which). And, I hate winter too. This year has been colder and more snowy than the past several years.
When I got up at 7:15, the temp was 45 degrees. At 7:45, it was 37degrees. When I took the boys to school at 8:15, it was 33 degrees. It's now 28 outside and the wind is nuts! That's almost 20degrees in an hour and a half. Our high so far has been 55 and that was at 1am!
The temps in Peoria are holding on 50 right now. I have the windows open for an "air out" while I can. It's supposed to go down to around 5 by nightfall.
(^_^)
Happy winter. We actually grilled burgers on Saturday and steak on Sunday only to have that wind come yesterday. The radio said we were at 54* but Peoria must be hogging all the heat because my thermometer said 42* and with that wind it wasn't comfortable. This morning seems wet and warmer but windy. Barb, quit sending us your nasty weather!
Sorry Deb! If I have to deal with it, so do you! LOL!
We're down to 17 degrees with a -1 degree wind chill. And, it's snowing. Sustained winds are around 20mph with gusts in the 40mph range. Ugh.
