First One!!!
I just had to blog about how we've spotted our very first Monarch!!! My neighbor across the street (I used to think she was a crazy cat lady but I don't think she is) told me last night that she's excited about seeing monarchs and will be keeping a lookout for them. I'm just so excited!!!

CONGRATS!!! I have lots of beetles that must die!
I tell you what...I do not miss those Japanese Beetles in Virginia. As bad as the grasshoppers and june bugs are here (they're everywhere!), nothing compares to the swarm (and I mean it literally) of destructive beetles that would attack my plum tree every summer. They should be almost done for the year though, right?
