Baseball Season Starts
Yesterday was the first day of the t-ball/baseball season. Daniel was in typical form, not really caring about what was going on. Mike and I decided that he really isn't ready for t-ball yet, maybe remedial blastball is in order! LOL! Jacob, on the other hand, is playing machine pitch this year. What a difference a year makes. This is really baseball. They get five "hitable" pitches and if they don't hit it, they're out. They can also get doubles and triples in machine pitch, and if the ball gets to the base before the runner does, they're out too. It certainly makes it more exciting. The parents really get into it...when someone gets a hit, everyone freaks out cheering. When a good play is made (a fielder catches a fly ball, etc) the parents freak out cheering. I'm happy that everyone, so far, is really supportive of the kids and we don't seem to have the parents who are belittling their kids. Jacob didn't get a single hit yesterday but everyone clapped and cheered for him anyway. He seemed like he had a good time and that's all that matters.
