We went to the pediatrician again today for a recheck of Hannah's ears and nose. Right ear is still clear, sinuses look okay but her left ear just won't clear. She also failed her hearing test again. The pediatrician said that she's done everything she can and that it's ENT time. So, we see the ENT on the 20th for her initial visit and to schedule the tube surgery. The pediatrician wants her to continue the nasal spray at least until we see the ENT but we're finally off of antibiotics for the first time since I don't know when. I just wish we didn't have to wait so long to see the ENT.
I'll keep you posted.

Poor Hannah - I hope once you see the ENT they are able to schedule the tube procedure quickly.
BTW, how are you feeling - I had Lyme Disease back in 2003 and it knocked me on my butt!!! I hope you are remembering to take care of your self!
I didn't know you had Lyme Disease, Michelle. I'm really tired but I otherwise feel okay. At least the bite's not itchy anymore! I'm getting tired of the insane amount of antibiotics I'm taking but you do what you have to do!
That's the problem with specialists. It's hard to get an appointment with them.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
Barb, I know that Afrin works wonders in getting the sinus tissue to shrink, allowing the ears to drain. It's the only thing that worked for me, after 3 months of steroids and antibiotics. I had had it and just did Afrin and Sudafed. Worked very well. Maybe you could try Afrin and Benedryl? Good luck, I feel Hannah's pain.
