13 Days until the Move
You'd think that after as many days as I've been sick, I'd be starting to feel better. That's just not the case. Symptoms have been shifting and it's really starting to get to me. Yesterday, I woke up with a semi-sore throat. I feel like phlegm girl. Ugh. Today, my throat is really sore and swollen. I think I get why. It's because I've been coughing a lot with my throat and it's had enough. If I gargle any more with salt water, I'm going to become a salt lick. Luckily, the Advil I've been taking is helping a lot. It also helps that Mike let me sleep for a good portion of today. I think that's been a big problem...not enough rest.
Another problem is that I said on Friday that Luke and Jake could sleep over tonight. I really figured that I'd be feeling better by now (in all actuality, I really am) and it would be okay. The good news is that it's 8pm and they're all upstairs in pj's and will probably be sleeping soon. That just means that they'll be up early. Oh well.
I got a pretty funny phone call today. My phone rings and when I answer it, all I hear are buttons being pushed followed by babbling. I then realize that I'm talking to either Sophia or Aidan. After a minute or so, I realize I'm talking to Sophia. I keep asking to talk to Sue but she keeps telling me no. At one point, I swear she told me that her mom was coming but that was not the case. I use Mike's cell to call Sue. I asked her if she knew where her daughter was. Her response was something like "hell if I know," (LOL!) and I told her that I was talking with Sophia on the cell phone. She just wanted to talk to her Aunt Ba Ba! LOL! It made my day.

Boy was she ticked when I took the cell phone away! LOL
Sophia never calls Aunt Debbie! LOL, that's so funny!
I forgot to add that I'm sorry that you arn't feeling well yet. That just stinks. Stuff seems to be going around. I had sniffling, coughing people around me at church.
I went on Web MD today and it pretty much said the same thing that I thought...that the sore throat is probably caused by post nasal drip and breathing through my mouth. It also said that it probably won't get better until my nose is under control. Nice. At least I've been doing the right things...lots of tea (with honey and lemon...yummy), salt water gargle and ibuprofin. I'm always amazed at how much better my throat feels after just gargling with salt water. I miss the little things...being able to smell and taste. :(
It always amazes me when the little ones manage to place a phone call. Hannah used to do it a lot to my neighbor, Cheryl. It really was very funny.
