OMG!!!!!

Look how much snow Mike had to shovel out of our driveway!

Just kidding. LOL! Got you for a second though, didn't I?!? (Mike's sitting on his knees) Here's a real photo of Daniel by our backdoor (that's snow coming up several inches on the door's window)......and it's still coming down. They've already cancelled school for tomorrow which is good, but Mike has to go into work. All I know is my butt's staying put tomorrow.

Oh...and I just heard on the news that because they got no snow at the airport, we are officially going on the record books as having 0 inches of snow today! The weatherman was just in shock.

I walked out the door at the usual time with my thermos and coffee cup
in my hand and the latest round of bills in my pocket. I shoveled the snow away from the garage door and fired up the car. I backed out and promptly got stuck. I shoveled the snow away from the front of the wheels and managed to put the car back in the garage and shut the door. I'm now sitting in front of the home 'puter instead of my work 'puter, 'cause quite frankly, I can't get out! Mom's got a list of stuff to get at the grocery store, but, quite frankly, I can't get out. Later, I'll blow out the driveway, but that still leaves me with having to dealing with Lawndale. I called in to work as "snowed in" the same as most of the office. I hope that Grounds can make it in and start on snow removal, but, quite frankly, I think that we're hosed today. Film later.

Snowed in here too. I can barely open either outside door. The radio said that Tazewell county snowplows wern't even running.

It's all bright and shiny here today. Snow's blowing around a bit but at least it's stopped. Have fun with that snow!

You moved just in time! Better you than me! Bwahahahahahaha Dad, sounds like you're kinda screwed (also sounds like you've decided you don't wanna deal with it - lol)

Ok. I've been working on that crappy driveway all morning long and I've gotten about half way down it. I can't open the front door and there's a big drift about 2 feet tall to tackle before I can get to the front steps. In all, I have about a foot of snow in the driveway and the snowthrower can handle about 6" at a time. So I shovel off the top six inches and blow the rest for a lane down the drive. When I get the lane, I can take the snow shovel and knock down the stuff next to the lane and then blow that off. Joe across
the street is doing the same thing. Maybe sometime tonight or tomorrow I can get a car out. That is, if I can get down Lawndale. I'm thinking that just when I get it done, the f***in' snow plow will come along and put two feet of ice across my driveway.
Not a happy camper today. I'm really snowed in!

We went out and played in it a bit. Jeff's been out trying to clear the driveway. Luckily, we're on a snow route and the street has already been plowed. Unfortunately, that means that the snow at the bottom of the drive is really deep. At least it has stopped snowing.

10:00 AM the next day: The driveway is finally cleared enough to where I think that I can get a car our. The only thing left to do is smooth out a couple of ruts in the street that might hang me up. Then I can finally go out and try to get some food. It's hell having a payday and not being able to go out and spend some of it.
