GGGGRRRRRR!!!!! Boycott JC Penney!!!!

Okay, so everyone saw that beautiful couch and loveseat on my blog...we cancelled the order. JC PENNEY sucks. Seriously sucks. We called this evening to order a kitchen table and chairs and come to find out that we probably wouldn't receive this stuff until the last week of November/first week of December. They hide their shipping policy so you have to look hard for it. Grrr. Terry at JCPenney customer service was zero help. We told her that we were ready to walk from a huge sale and she said there was nothing she could do. Here's the funny part...when Mike told her to cancel the sale and she said that she already did! We told her that she had permanently lost a customer and all she could say was "sorry about that." It'll take a lot for me to go back to JC Penney for anything. (I know it's Mom's favorite store but I'm pissed)

So, heartbroken, we head back to the Nebraska Furniture Mart website.

Their website clearly states that if pieces are too large for UPS, call their number to schedule delivery. We decide to call so that there are no surprises. We are connected with Customer Service Rep, Dave.

Dave was awesome. He quoted us even lower prices than what was on the website because of an in-store sale. He even gave us another website to look at to look at additional couches and loveseats (granted, they didn't carry a lot of them, but they could special order them if we wanted). We ended up calling this guy a couple of times and even left a message on his voicemail and he called us back quickly. He also gave us a reasonable delivery date (the Monday after we move in...we could have gotten it earlier but there would be no one there to pick it up). So, for less than what we would have spent on a sofa, loveseat and kitchen table set at JC Penney, we got 2 sofas, a loveseat, a chair, an ottoman, a kitchen table, 4 chairs and 2 arm chairs. Mike kept asking for the grand-grand total and Dave kept quoting the same price saying that it was the grand-grand total. We were in shock. Soooo...we are getting rid of both of our current couches, the loveseat and chair/ottoman! I can't say enough great things about our experience so far with Dave and Nebraska Furniture Mart. Hopefully, the delivery won't let us down!

Very classy. I also hate JCPenney. They are the ones who I fought that 10 year old bill about.

We wanted kind of classy for the living room and more laid back for the family room. I'm just in shock at how cheap we got this stuff!

And don't you need more than 4 chairs for that dining room set? I'm so confused. lol

We did buy a dining room set when we moved here but our kitchen set is falling apart. We've only got 2 of those chairs left! Since we have and eat in kitchen and a dining room, we'd like to have both. The kitchen table we bought comes with a total of 6 chairs...4 regular chairs and 2 arm chairs. We got a sweet deal, too (we hit the last day of a 50% off sale). I don't know how far out they deliver or ship but I highly recommend them. Good furniture for way cheap.
